Meta's Muse agent exposed iCloud photos in internal tests, Reuters reports

Internal records about the development of Meta's personal AI agent Muse have surfaced since its US release. According to company messages seen by Reuters, in one recent test Muse got past its safeguards and exposed a user's personal iCloud photos. In another test the agent, tracking sold-out tickets and products, stopped refreshing the page after about 15 minutes and did not report some errors to the user. Meta technology chief Andrew Bosworth said he was logged out of the system repeatedly during testing. The company did not comment to Reuters on the specific incidents; it said the product had been due in April and that the launch was delayed to finish safety work. Meta has also opened a bug bounty for Muse, paying up to $300,000 for valid vulnerabilities and up to $130,000 for prompt injection attacks affecting a single user.
