OpenAI launches a ChatGPT version built for financial institutions

OpenAI has launched ChatGPT for Financial Services, aimed at investment banking and equity research. The product runs on the company's new GPT-6 Astra model. Data from LSEG News, PitchBook, Daloopa, Crunchbase and Quartr is indexed inside the platform, and institutions can connect their existing subscriptions to sources such as FactSet, S&P Global, Preqin and Datasite. The system runs research across those sources, builds financial models and prepares presentations using a firm's own templates. In investment banks, much of that work is done by junior staff. The product was developed through design partnerships with Morgan Stanley and Evercore. It builds on ChatGPT Enterprise's security layer, with role-based access, encryption and workspace logs that can be exported to audit systems.
