Superhuman acquires meeting notetaker Fathom

Productivity platform Superhuman has acquired Fathom, a Y Combinator-backed meeting notetaker. Founded in 2020, Fathom had raised more than $30 million and was valued at $94 million in 2024, according to PitchBook. Its free plan helped it reach more than 400,000 monthly active users, and the company says over 1 million people have recorded meetings with it.

Superhuman already offers email, documents, a calendar, a database product and a new platform for building AI agents. It tested its own notetaker with select users earlier this year before choosing to buy a finished product. Meeting data will be used to let agents start work such as drafting emails and scheduling follow-up meetings. Fathom CEO Richard White cited Superhuman's 40 million users as one reason for the deal.
